Digital Marketing in 2022
Well it's at the point in January where the year doesn't feel QUITE as new. This is when it's ACTUALLY important to get started.
As I start to implement plans for 2022, I figured I'd let you in on some insights I've gathered over the last year and how it will affect our marketing in 2022.
“Short form video will be crucial to marketing in 2022.”
Short form video will be CRUCIAL to marketing in 2022.
Short form video (hello Reels, TikTok, Youtube shorts, etc) isn't going ANYWHERE in 2022. In fact, it will continue to replace still photos are the top source of content on social media. If you haven't gotten on board with video, 2022 is your year to dive in.
To help with this, I have created a new resource just for you. If you haven't already snagged our new Reels Guide and Idea List, click here!
We will be teaching A LOT more about Reels and Tik Tok soon so stay tuned as I am committed to helping you master this powerful tool.
PERSONAL content will beat out PERFECT content in 2022.
You've probably heard me say it a million times by now, but people want to know the PEOPLE behind the business. This will carry even further in 2022 as people crave more REAL and RAW rather than pretty perfectionism. This will be a huge change to industries such as the wedding industry that have thrived for years on a perfect feed. How do you navigate this? With more behind the scenes, process content, and people based content. Best way to do this? Reels.
Marketing in more than one space will be even more important.
A "diversified approach" (fancy words to say not putting all your eggs in one basket) to marketing your business will be more and more important in 2022. Clients have more options for social media consumption and are picking and choosing their platforms not based on popularity but usage. Marketing on only one platform can cause you to miss the growth of another and miss connecting with your ideal clients.
Systems and plans will be needed in 2022 to survive the increasing demand and growing number of marketing opportunities.
I’ve always been a HUGE fan of systems and plans, but moving into 2022, these smart business practices will save you time, energy, and help you connect to clients while serving them well. Without a system and a plan, business owners waste valuable time chasing to-do lists and trying to do EVERYTHING. Don’t sleep on systems.
